Sandy - Cambridge

''went to Sri Lanka 11 years ago but experienced many more things this time and found the balance of the trip was extremely good. Two of our highlights were Yala Game Park where we saw leopards and crocs and also the train journey to Nuwara Eliya and the colonial Hill Club! All the hotels and cuisine were super. Thank you for the special memories''

''Thank you for organising such an amazing holiday. A very memorable time and we had a fabulous guide Jeremy to show us around. All the organisation you had done was first class and worked like clockwork. Congratulations!''

''Arrived back safely in England, after a great holiday. The arrangements which were made for us were excellent in every respect and we were well looked after wherever we went. The hotels throughout was absolutely first class. We were treated like royalty!''

''From 13th-30th August 2012 we took our 4 children, aged from 7 to 14, to Sri Lanka for a 2 ½ week holiday. Tailormade to suit our requirements by Paradise Vacations, the holiday consisted of a week travelling around the country, sandwiched between 2 stays at beach resorts – at the beginning 2 days north of Colombo, at Negombo, at the end, 1 week south of the capital in Bentota (including 1 night in Galle). The beach resorts were excellent: our 2 days in Negombo were a welcome rest after the journey and a good way to recover from the jetlag. Bentota was a relaxing end to the holiday, with plenty to occupy our children, and we all enjoyed our night’s stay in Galle, loved the old town, the tuk tuks!, the shells on the beach, and much more! The week we spent travelling round the country was incredible – fascinatingly varied, from the cultural and historical (Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Polonnaruwa, Ancient Tooth Relic in Kandy) to the incredible wildlife (Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, Minneriya National Park, Yala National Park) and also other interests such as spice gardens, batik factory and tea factory. All were interesting and informative, although obviously aimed at tourists. Our driver, Jagath, stayed with us for the duration of our week’s travelling, and was a real character: professional, informative and friendly, and obviously experienced at taking holidaymakers round the sights, he had a lovely personality and sense of humour and was great with the kids.''
